Traditional providers often offer either tooling focused on insights and dashboards, or a FinOps consultancy track for guidance and advice. OptimaSure provides its own tool (also available in the Azure Marketplace) that not only offers detailed insights but can also directly execute actions in your Azure environment – without switching platforms. The founders of OptimaSure are Henk van der Valk, Gerard Zuidweg, and Edco Wallet – seasoned professionals with strong backgrounds in IT consultancy, cloud technology, and sustainability initiatives. All three are experienced entrepreneurs and specialists with broad expertise in management, recruitment, cloud, and database consultancy. Together, they form a powerful team.

Co-founder - Optimalisatie Expert
Henk is een ervaren dataspecialist en cloud-innovator. Vanuit zijn rol als global black belt specialist bij Microsoft hielp hij organisaties wereldwijd met Azure-oplossingen en het vertalen van Big Data en AI naar waardevolle inzichten. Met CloudXcellence bouwde hij vervolgens een platform dat dagelijkse cloudoperaties optimaliseert en de waarde van cloudinvesteringen maximaliseert.
Thomas Spoelstra
Teamlead en Senior Database Reliability Engineer
Thomas is een sterke senior database specialist en Teamlead. Een allround DBA met veel ervaring in verschillende complexe klant omgevingen. Zo heeft hij aan de grond gestaan van de database systemen van Bibit, Worldpay en Stater. Thomas is voornamelijk werkzaam vanuit ons DOC (Database Operating Center) waar hij de lijnen uitzet binnen Managed Services en als database expert advies geeft over verbetering van database omgevingen, zowel on-prem als cloud en Hybride.
Tino Dudink
DBA Consultant en Senior Database Reliability Engineer
Tino is een sterke en innemende Senior DBA Consultant. Gecertificeerd en gespecialiseerd in Microsoft SQL Server en Azure SQL. Hij weet snel tot de kern te komen van elke database puzzel of uitdaging. In de cloud, IaaS, PaaS of DBaaS en on-prem of private cloud. Zowel een toekomstbestendig ontwerp neerzetten en daarnaast complexe HA omgevingen beheren. Ook op het gebied van Data Governance, Data Quality en Data Security is Tino een waardevolle Trusted Advisor.
Mark van der Haar
DBA Consultant en Senior Database Reliability Engineer
Mark is een senior database expert die goed kan gedijen in omvangrijke, complexe en lastig te doorgronden database omgevingen. Mark is vooral gespecialiseerd in Microsoft SQL Server en Azure SQL maar heeft ook kennis van MariaDB, Oracle en DB2. Hij brengt structuur, orde en rust in de databases en daarmee de werkomgeving. Met zijn enorme ervaring van datamodellering, performance tuning en data security is hij een rots voor onze klanten.

Recruitment Consultant
Pieter Groenendijk is een ervaren recruitment specialist. Een verbinder. Van mensen en technologie. Door de jaren heen heeft Pieter een sterk netwerk opgebouwd maar ook brede technische ervaring opgedaan. Naast verschillende rollen in arbeidsbemiddeling waaronder bij USG People is Pieter ook ondernemer geweest, kent de uitdagingen van ZZP-ers aan den lijve en kan zich uitstekend inleven. Gerard is een verbinder en brengt graag mensen, producten en diensten samen om win-win te creëren. Een ervaren, hands-on, resultaatgerichte manager en ondernemer met een brede achtergrond in de financiële dienstverlening, Fintec en IT Services. Naast de commercie regelt hij alle zaken binnen OptimaData en is inhoudelijk ook betrokken bij FinOps inzake cloudkosten en advies rond cloudspend.

Co-Founder & eigenaar
Edco is, zoals ze zeggen, een echt mensenmens, communicatief, toegankelijk en ter zake kundig. Edco is al vele jaren actief in arbeidsbemiddeling in de IT-sector bij onder andere USG People en Novaccent (het huidige Tesorion). Bij OptimaData zorgt hij in de eerste plaats voor de werving van de interne rollen en daarnaast zet hij zijn recruitmentkracht en expertise graag in voor onze klanten.
